At Ottawa Karen Christian Fellowship Church, we believe our God-given mission is to make disciples, or followers, of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). We believe the best way is to work towards instilling these core values and practices in our people:

Worship God, Grow Together & Serve Others

Worshiping God, or believing in him with everything we are, is our purpose of existence on earth. It is both the most important command given by God to man and the highest priority of the church (Mark 12:29-31). 

True disciples of Jesus who have been saved by him should love him, and then seek to grow more like him, in the context of a believing community (Colossians 3:12-17). 

Finally, the belief we have been given should then be shared with one another and our neighbors  through serving them (Galatians 5:13). 

How do we seek to fulfill this mission in our context at Karen Christian Family Fellowship Church? 

We ask our people to make three simple commitments towards their discipleship with us: 

• To worship God through faithful engagement in our Sunday Gatherings. John 4:24.
• To grow together in the community of our Small Groups.  Acts 2:46-47.
• To serve others by being an active part of our Service Teams. We believe this makes up a balanced discipleship process, which can help all of us faithfully grow to be more like Christ. Matthew 20:28.

The Work of Evangelism

• We work together in this Gospel is for all as we could and available.
• We work together in this Gospel is that we will work with every other local church as free will, without wall.
• We work together in this Gospel is to start from where we live and go to other places as we able to go.
• We work together in this Gospel is to teach God’s word in our church in order to allow believers to grow up and even to be mature in Christ.
• We work together in this Gospel is to have activities such as praise, worship and sing songs and prayers.
• We work together in this Gospel is to do Cell groups or Home Cell. We will do it from house to house to encourage, teach God’s word to each home.

Gospel Visions

• To preach and teach the truth that all people have sinned are saved by the blood of Jesus by believing in him. 
• To preach and evangelize everyone as much as we are able as Jesus commanded “to go to the whole world and preach the Gospel to every creature” 
• To teach everyone to live holy lives in a sinful world, encouraging everyone to flee from sin and the power of Satan. 
• To teach one another to grow and be spiritually mature. We will walk in Jesus’ steps as Apostle Paul said, “follow me as I follow Christ”.
• To lift the Name of Jesus, and to be the witness for Jesus.
• To make Jesus our centre, to imitate the apostles in their ministries; follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. To teach everyone to be faithful in. 
• To introduce Jesus to those who did not knew Him yet and to lead them to Jesus.
• To value one another, to see fellow members as sons and daughters of God since everyone is a member in Christ’s Body, and to honour the works of the Holy Spirit, according the gifts that He gave to individual as Christ has promised.
• To teach everyone to be faithful in marriage, and to engage in sexual activity only within the bond of holy marriage which God has ordained to be only between one husband and one wife. 
• We will give together in the area of financial contributions and offerings for those in need.
